Once can easily learn guitar, but most of the beginners want to know how long it takes to learn guitar, until they are good enough to jam with their friends. Every person will take different time to learn and not everyone will use the same method. The time frame can vary from weeks, months to years. - Beginners will have to make a solid foundation. They will have to start with learning to hold the guitar properly, having the correct position for the left and right hand. However, there is one big problem that most of the self-learning guitar players face; they forget to lean the important techniques like theories, advanced chords and scales in the beginning. Therefore, you will see them plateau much sooner.
