How to Become a Diplomat

“A diplomat” is a person, who is assigned by a state to carry out diplomacy with a global organization or any other state. Diplomat part of U.S. foreign service and it is also termed as “Foreign Service officer” (FSOs). The role of a diplomat rotates around the presentation, the advertisement of information, and friendly relations, and protection of the national concerns. Diplomats help citizens in covering diplomatic issues, helping with visas, and serving citizens of U.S. all over the countries. “Diplomat” is the oldest form of the “foreign policy institution” of the state, predating foreign ministers, ministries, ministerial organization from ages.

There are different categories of diplomats such as counselors, ambassadors, secretaries, etc.  Diplomats gather and report the information which influences home country concerns. Diplomats suggest “home country government” frequently, how to react on any situation. “J.W. Burton” has said that diplomacy has a “high professional position”, though it doesn’t have any definite professional training.  The state supports this high position, confidence and concessions of its diplomats just to support countries own position and international status.  Diplomats are considered impressive and prestigious professions, but there are lots of myths about this profession that diplomats get seduced easily by the nation they are living in and dump the national interest in the cause of “good relations”.
