Obesity is the most chronic state of being overweight. It is considered as the most life threatening conditions and current research has shown that obesity is one of the biggest reasons of life threats in most of the people in the world. Obesity can increase the risk of diabetes, heart problems, cancer and strokes. The worst part is that two-thirds of the industrialized population is a victim of obesity and this puts their health in danger. Therefore, it is important for everyone to understand different ways to control obesity.

Formerly, everyone used to think that the best way to lose weight is by diet and then go back to the normal routine. It is very important to have a balanced diet with exercise everyday for leading a healthy lifestyle. Here are some simple tricks on how to control obesity.

Change your diet

  • The main goal of controlling obesity is making sure that you do not add any more weight in your body and continue to shed the existing weight. Try to shed all the unwanted pounds off your body. Increase physical activity and exercise

  • Start considering numbers, you must decide that if you lose 250 calories from your daily diet, then you can lose nearly two pounds by the end of the week. Go for brisk walks everyday for at least 30 minutes and you can easily double the rate of your weight loss. This will make you realize that exercise is the most important thing for controlling obesity.
  • The main goal of any kind of exercise is burning all the unwanted calories. The number of calories you burn will depend on how strenuous your exercise routine is and how frequently you do it. One of the best ways to lose the unwanted fat from your body is by performing aerobics for 30 minutes at least 4 times in a week.
  • Keep in mind that doing aerobics does not mean getting in a leotard and hitting the gym, you can consider brick walking as aerobics as well. You can include some lifestyle activities as well. For instance, instead of taking elevator, you can take the stairs. Instead of going in a car to some place, you can ride a bike till that place or walk. However, it is best to consult your doctor before you start practicing any physical exercise.

Change your behavior and outlook

  • Besides dieting and exercise, it is very important that you change your outlook towards eating and daily activities. You will have to modify your behavior for ensuring that the success you achieve is continuous and not just temporary.
