The homepage is a URL or file, which involuntarily loads when a web browser starts or when the home tab of the browser is pressed. This feature can be turned off and on; it also indicates a URL for the page to be loaded.
The word homepage is also used to indicate the front page, directory index, web server, or main web page of the set website, corporation, association, or individual. In countries like Germany, South Korea, and Japan, and in the US, the word homepage is mainly referred as a whole website in spite of a single web page. In the late 90s this custom had been wiped away from the US and it was replaced by the more complete word web site.
Now-a-days homepages are a website, which happens to be a start page. A start page is a kind of website or page, which is destined to systematize links or information for the consumer when a web Brower starts. A start page usually involves information like news, games, weather, and other web stuff and web devices. For example, iGoogle, Sthrt, net vibes, page flakes, and sign depending on the home page program.
Many homepages that are used for personal or low standard websites, start with a welcome note and short information about their site. Though, larger websites intended for browsing, such as shops, entertainment collections, and informational websites, feature particular things on the front page like Features, Most Liked, Spotlight, Great Deals, etc. In this tutorial you will learn how to create a homepage with two sites, first on Internet Explorer and second one is Mozilla Firefox.
