A word bibliography has been derived from the “Greek” word “bibliographic”, which means “book writing”. Bibliography is an “academic study” of books as intellectual or physical object, and it is also termed as “bibliology”. The word bibliography was first used in third century by a Greek writer to mean the copying books by hand. Bibliography can be divided in two groups i.e. “enumerative bibliography”, it is also termed as compilative, systematic and reference, and the second is “analytical bibliography”, studies about the production of books. Initially, bibliography usually used to focus on books. but nowadays, both the groups of bibliography cover works in different formats such as motion picture, graphics, videos, databases, websites, recording, CD-ROMs, and objects.
