Things Required:

  • Paper
  • Pencil
  • Eraser
  • Pen
  • Crayons (all the 12 shades)

Steps:

  • Start by drawing the head of Mario. Make a circle nearly the size of your thumb and forefingers and then form it into a circle. Make two small oval shapes for the eyes of Mario and place a little above on the head. Make sure that the base of the oval is flat. This makes it an oval on the top and a straight shape at the base. Make a small oval shape inside the circle to make the pupils. Make a large oval shape for the nose of Mario; make sure that the top portion of the nose meets right in the middle of the two eyes.
  • Start sketching the hat of Mario. Make sure that you draw the hat on the entire head stretching up to its brim of right eye. Now, you can add the moustache and eyebrows. Make both the eyebrows in crescent shape, and it should be placed right below the hat, on top of the eye. The mustache will be parallel to the flat base of the eyes, so draw it right under the nose. Carefully upturn the corners of the mustache.
  • Make a circle, slightly bigger than the head of Mario. While drawing the arms and the limbs, make it of the same size as the head. Make sure that while drawing the limbs, they must become wider towards the palms. Add shoes and gloves to your Mario.
  • Now start adding some details to your character, like adding an ‘M’ on top of the hat of the Mario. Make five fingers on every hand; give some definition to the shoes. Then add the suspenders from the shoulder and make two buttons on the chest.
  • Once you are done with making your character, then you can add colors. If you want, you can refer to a picture of Mario for the exact details and colors.
