The Simpsons are a popular series on the American television. Matt Groening created this famous serial for the company called the Fox Broadcasting Company. The entire series is about an ironic parody of the typical working class American lifestyle. This has been depicted through an interrelated family. This eponymous family consists of Lisa, Bart, Maggie, Marge and Homer. This show is set in a fictional place called the Springfield and the lampoons, and it has many other features of the human condition. Groening conceived this family after a short series of the animated film with the producer James L. Brooks. Groening then made a family and gave names to the characters after his own family members (Bart was his own name). The Simpsons have won many awards after its debut, which includes a 26 Annie Awards, Peabody Award and 25 Primetime Emmy Awards. The entire Simpson family was also awarded the Hollywood Walk of Fame. It is one of the longest running sitcoms on American television. The famous catch phrase used by Homer, ‘D’oh!’ has been added to the English lexicon. The Simpsons have also influenced many of the adult animated series.
A few characters on this show were only designed for a few episodes. However, the growing popularity increased the roles of these characters. Simpsons is one of the most favorite sitcoms for many people. You can draw one of the characters of Simpsons and hang it in your room or paint it on your t-shirt. Here are some simple and easy steps on how to draw Simpsons.

Steps:
- Start your drawing by making a circle right in the middle of the page. Make sure that you draw a circle of medium size, and not too large. Try your best to keep the circle in a round shape, but do not worry if you don’t get it right for the first time.
- Make a straight line, which will extend from the left side of the circle; this line should be right below the vertical point of the circle. Make sure that the line extends up to half the portion of the circle’s diameter. Make a curve towards the end of the line; this will make the nose of your Simpsons character. Now, continue making the nose by returning to the circle from half-length of the line.
- Take a pen or pencil and place it on the left hand side of the circle, this is the point where the circle starts to arch towards the right side. Starting from this point make a circle but do not complete it, and now extend from this point to nose of your character that you have made.
- Now, take the pencil or pen, place it on the bottom of the nose, and make a line, which will form an angle. This line should be away from the face; this will form the top of the mouth of your Simpsons character. After a little distance, towards the diameter of the first circle, make a curvy line so that it moves to the eye of the character. Make a small dot in both the eyes of the tiny circle, this will make the eyes.
- Extend a line from the right eye of your character upwards, towards the second incomplete circle that you made earlier. Draw a line extending from the mouth of the character. If you want, then you can do a little experiment by interchanging these two lines. This will give a new look to your character. Make a tiny semi-circle right next to the main circle you made first, and make an ear shape. Now, you can draw hair and give any shape to it. Add some colors to your Simpsons character to enhance their look.
