This is the time to seek some help. This article will help you in mending your broken relationship in an easy way. Try the following tips on how to fix a broken relationship.

  1. Believe that your relationship can be mended. Analyze the aspects due to which the relationship has gone wrong. If you trust that the relationship is of worth, do not hesitate in taking initiatives.
  2. Once you have decided to mend the relationship, start communicating with your partner. Silences do not solve any problems. It is always better to talk the problem out. This prevents misunderstandings and gives a better chance to know the feeling of your partner. Even if the communication is one sided, initiate it. Talk on the topics that you both have interest in. do not broach the topics in which there are chances of disputes. Keep your voice very pleasant, free from irritation and anger. The tone, volume and the choice of words should be correct and free from any biases.
  3. Learn to curb your ego. Mostly the cause of a broken relationship is personal egos.  Do not try to satisfy your ego through your relationship. A relationship is not a battle field. If you manage to keep your ego aside and move ahead in the relationship, you will get pleasant surprises.
  4. Forgive, if not forget. Understand that nobody hurts anyone purposely. If your partner has hurt you, believe that tit was unintentional.  Even then if you are hurt, try to forgive your partner. This does not mean that you should forget, it is just letting your partner know that he or she is more important than the ‘hurt’. This will make the other person understand his or her importance and next time your partner will take special care not to hurt you.
  5. Remember the good time spent together. The good old memories are always soothing. They can act as a miracle and make you smile, forgetting the stress. You must have cherished and enjoyed some moments with each other. Recollect those and lessen the feeling of insecurity.
  6. Accept that you can be also wrong sometimes. There is no shame in accepting your mistake. You always have the chance to improve. Stop the blame game. It fetches you nothing.
  7. This one might seem a little childish but take every chance to fix your broken relationship. Maintain a diary in which you write points on which you feel your relationship should improve. For example, if you feel that the level of understanding in the relationship is low, you can mention this in your diary. Also write the points which can really hold your relationship. For example, love, trust and the most important, the feeling and desire to be with each other.
  8. Respect each other and give each other space. This is very important in any relationship. If you are not treated respectfully in a relationship, you may not want it ever. Also, if you feel suffocated in any relationship, you would try to free yourself from it.
  9. Stop making comparisons. Many a times, a relationship gets bad because we start to compare ourselves with our partner. You should understand that each of us is different and special. Comparison should not be done in any case.

To mend a broken relationship is practically possible if you keep in mind these points. There is one more thing that you should always remember and that is to learn to agree to disagree. If you follow this, there will never be any disputes, harsh talks, quarrels and emotional episodes. Cherish the relationship and enjoy it fully.
