How to Improve Eyesight

Eyesight is also known as visual perception, sight or vision. It is the ability to see the surroundings and interpret them. This visual system helps individuals understand their surroundings and act accordingly. Some people need to improve their eyesight, especially people who have sight problems. Eyesight is one of the most important functions of the human body. If there is no eyesight, people tend to face many problems in life. Therefore, people who have eyesight problems must improve their sight. To improve their eyesight one must take good eye care. Eye problems are caused due to various reasons like pollution, unhealthy diet or some internal problems. Taking care of your eyes is a natural process. Here are some simple and easy steps on how to improve your eyesight.

Steps:

  • Start eating healthy food, which means natural foods that are rich in vitamin A. There are a variety of natural foods like tomatoes, spinach, carrots or turnips. Cucumber and potatoes are also good for maintaining your eyesight. If you are back home after a long tiring day, place some round pieces of potato or cucumber on your eyes for 10 minutes. This process will make your eyes feel fresh.
  • Make sure that your eyes are never dry; always ensure that your eyes or area surrounding it is never dry. You can use an eye cream to keep it well moisturized.
  • Drink lots of water, it helps in releasing essential toxins from the entire body. Drinking plenty of water will help in keeping your eyes healthy. If you still think that your eyes are not healthy, then you must visit a doctor and get your eyes checked.

Exercises for improving eyesight

Steps:

  • Take a comfortable chair and sit on it. Start rubbing your hands until you start to feel they are warm. Shut your eyes, take the palms of your hands and place them gently on your eyes. Ensure that light does not reach your eyes and there should be no gaps between your fingers. In this process, when you eyes are closed, you must imagine a dark black color and focus on that color. Always keep your breathing normal during this process, now imagine a happy place and if you still manage to see the black color, then take your hand out. You must repeat this entire process at least 7-8 times more.
  • Next, you can close your eyes, and massage in circular motion on your eyes with the help of your fingers. Continue these massages for one minute gently; make sure that you do not put a lot of pressure on your eyes. Open your eyes, start rolling them in anti-clockwise and clockwise directions. You must do it at least 5 times and keep blinking your eyes in between.
  • Next exercise will be to sit in a comfortable place and 5 inches away from your windowpane. Make a small marking on the window, which is at your eye level. Look beyond this mark and try to focus your attention on something in the background. Keep doing this for 15 seconds and then focus on the small mark on the window. Instead of this, you can also do a simple thing. Take a pencil and keep it at arms length, start moving your arm slowly towards your nose, while doing this you must constantly follow the pencil. Repeat this exercise 10 times.
  • All these exercises will certainly help you in improving your eyesight.
