‘Drywall’ is a word which is used for a usual method of manufacturing interior walls and ceilings by employing sheets made of gypsum plaster fixed between two broad sheets of paper, and then furnace dried. The creation of drywall is done worldwide for the finish structure of the interior walls and ceilings.
The construction of drywalls has become widespread as a quick alternative to usual plaster interior finish methods, which consists of ‘hand-placing’ base, remove and finish coats in consecutive layers by using hands. Drywall, needs ‘hand finishing’ only at the joints and fastenings. The new procedure of finishing requires comparatively lesser worker and aeration time, providing their name to the board employed in the congregation.
Panel setting up is also known as ‘gypsum board’, plasterboard, wallboard, Gibraltar board or GIB wall and top limit coatings, rock board, Sheetrock ( a brand name of USG Corporation), Rigips (Germany and Central Europe), after the Rigips brand’, Alçıpan in Turkey, and Placoplatre (France). If you want to install drywall in you interior wall or ceiling then just follow the following instructions.

Things required:
• Utility knife
• Framing square
• Pencil
• Drywall screws or nails
• Joint tape
• Drywall mud
• 10 inch drywall knife
Instructions:
- First of all, mark each stud with pencil or marker on the surface and ceiling. Be sure to spot the middle of the stud. By doing this, you will have a track where all the studs are when the drywall is in its place and more space to screw or nail too in case you are a little bit off the target.
- Always start with the corners. You can mount your drywall the way you want, such as vertically or horizontally. Some people like to mount their drywall horizontally for ease of doing the seam work when they are through mounting.
- If you want to remove a portion of drywall, take a measurement of the area which you want to remove. You can use a square surrounding to obtain straight lines. Mark the border of the square surrounding by pencil. You can employ square framing as a guide. Take your sharp knife and remove face of the drywall.
- After that, remove the drywall from behind the face and break it with a mild motion back towards you. Crease the drywall and slash the back of the drywall piece. You must now have a cut portion to fix. Screw or nail into position. This process must be done every 15 inches or so. Keep the drywall hanging until the entire region you wanted to coat is covered.
- After fixing nails and screws in the entire drywall at the right places, cover up the layers. Apply joint string to the layers. Fiberglass is more efficient for installing drywall; it is easier and more convenient than others. Position the muggy side against the drywall layers and push it into place.
- Attach joint mix over the adhesive tape you just fixed to the wall with a six inch broad knife. Level it out over the layer by supporting the handle of the broad knife at a minor angle to the wall. Remove any clumps now before they become settled to make your work easier. Allow the mixture to dry for one day and then sand it.
- Apply the joint mixture again with a 15 inch thick knife. Repeat this process if required. If you are trying to smoothen it then you can take your own time. Drywall installation cannot be done in one day.
