• Select the option that says ‘Change Icon’. This will show the option of default selection of icons from which you can select a new icon. To choose the new icon group, go for the “Browse” option. Remember that for an icon group should be capable to work the files should either have an .ICO file extension, a .DLL file ‘extension a collection of multiple icons’ or an .ICL file extension.

• Choose the file from the hard drive that symbolizes your icon set and the icons should now be put in place of the default icons from the earlier display.

• Pick the new icon which you desire to use from the icon set. To do this, simply click on it with your mouse. Click on the ‘OK’ button to confirm your conformation. This will help you to go back to the original ‘dialog box’ for that particular shortcut.

• Hit on the “OK” tab for the last time to change the icon to the one you have selected. After a few minutes the default icon will be vanished and your freshly selected icon set will appear on that place.
