Sims 2 is a tactical life imitation of 2004 computer game. It was invented by ‘Maxis’ and released by Electronic Arts. The Sims is a sequel to the best-selling computer game, which was launched on February 4, 2000. The Sims was first introduced on 14th September 2004 by ‘Microsoft Windows’. A port to ‘Macintosh’ was introduced on 13th June 2005. Eight extension packs and nine micro extension packs were consequently introduced. Later a number of ‘console versions’ were also introduced.
The Sims 2 is also available on mobile proposals. Mobile companies like ‘Nokia’ provide ‘The Sims 2‘ starting from the ‘Ovi Store’. The price of the game is ‘$5.99 USD’. The follow-up of this game, ‘The Sims 3′, was introduced in June 2009.
The concept of ‘The Sims 2′ is the same as its predecessor. Players manage their Sims in several different manners creating associations in a way related to real life. The Sims 2, similar to The Sims, does not have a definite final aim; game play is undefined. Sims has goals of life, wants and fears, the completion of which can cause either positive or negative results. The entire age of Sims can survive over 150 Sims days; it depends on the degree to which their ambitions are satisfied.
The Sims 2 formed on its precursor by letting Sims to age through six stages of life and incorporating a three dimensional graphics engine. Though, the game play is not even, the plot of the story exists in the previously built locality in the game. The ‘Pleasantview’ was established 26 years after the city in the original ‘The Sims’. Strange town’s storyline is based on the supernatural, and is freely attached with Pleasantview. The characters of ‘Veronaville’ are based on Shakespearian characters.

The Sims 2 was an immediate success; it sold one million copies on its first day, which was a record. Till 26, 2007, The Sims 2 has sold almost 13 million units globally and was the best-selling PC game of 2004. In April 2008, The Sims 2 website declared that 150 million copies of ‘The Sims’ series had been sold. In addition to its advertisement success, ‘The Sims 2′ was well taken by critics getting a 90% score from aggregators ‘Metacritic’ and ‘GameRankings’.
Instructions
- Put in ‘The Sims 2′ Game Disc or Disc 1, after that wait for the install program for ‘The Sims 2′ to start. If the install program does not work or run while the disc is reading, navigate to the disc drive and manually begin both ‘AutoRun.exe’ and ’setup.exe’. Select your language for the setup and then hit ‘Next.’
