How to Make Present Bow

Gift bows are of different kinds. From a traditional rabbit years to a fancy layered bow, bows make a gift look exquisite. They bring joy to the person its being given to. There are many ways to make colorful bows. A present bow is different. It has to suit the person and the occasion. Now how to make present bow?

Present bows can be made of two ways

  • With a cloth or ribbon
  • With paper

How to Make Present Bow
Making a present bow with a ribbon

  1. Wrap the ribbon around the present, twist it and wrap it length wise
  2. Make a knot and leave some ribbon to tie the bow
  3. Take a ribbon and start folding it accordion style (In loops)
  4. Cut the ribbon
  5. Now place the looped ribbon on the present on the ribbon-wrap knot, and tie a knot around it
  6. Now loose it up

With a cloth:

  1. Take a transparent or silky cloth
  2. Even it to look like a ribbon
  3. Now make two rabbit years and tie them together
  4. Loosen the cloth

Making a bow with paper

  1. Take a colored paper
  2. Cut 9 strips in equal width
  3. Cut three long similar sized strips (10 cam) and3 slightly shorter (9 cm) similar sized strips and 2 more slightly smaller similar sized strips (8 cm)
  4. Now cut a small piece of about 4 cm
  5. Make a circle out of the smallest loop
  6. Twist each strip, so that it makes a loop at each end
  7. Staple the meeting points
  8. Keep them aside
  9. Now arrange the first three long strip-loops in a flowery pattern in a circle

10. Staple the centre

11. Now arrange the next three strip-loops in the same manner

12. Staple the centre

13. Now do the same with the two smaller loops

14. Staple the centre

15. Fix the small strip circle vertically on the center with glue

16. Your bow is ready
