Freestyle tricks: this trick includes balancing on the different portions of the board instead of balancing on the wheels of the board. For example, you can balance your feet only on one wheel or two or on the tail of skate board or on the edge of the board. There are different ways to flick and control the skateboard inside and outside of these postures. It was discovered in the early times of skateboarding. Freestyle of skateboarding is generally executed on smooth ground

Aerials ticks: this skill includes floating in the air, while holding the skateboard by using hands or feet or by not keeping steady or cautious pressure on the skateboard. This trick became popular in 1970s, when ‘Tony Alva’ performed this trick on a skateboard.

Flip tricks: this trick is similar to aerials tricks, which is based on Ollie. The first ever flip was the Kickfip. In this skill you have to rotate the skateboard around various axes, and merge numerous rotations in just one trick. These tricks are certainly most popular among street skateboarding traditionalists, though the skater’s specialist in other styles too can perform flip tricks.

Lip tricks: lip tricks can be performed on the skateboard or pool ramp. Most mixing can be performed on the handling of a ramp or pool as well. Handling the tricks require the thrust and ‘vertical attitude’ that can only be achieved on a transitioned driving surface. These involve turning upside down,  their deviations and some devoted “air-to-lip” combinations as well.

Manual tricks: it is executed by balancing the skateboard while driving on the front wheel or rear wheels and  hanging the opposite wheels in the air.

In skateboarding many tricks are merged together to form new tricks. Practicing different types of combinations and variations is usually stated as the reason that skateboarding keeps its demand among followers.
