However, some methods are time consuming and you have to be patient and precise. In this article, you will find helpful tips on how to open masterlock. You will at least need 15 minutes for opening the masterlock.
How to open masterlock is explained with a method given below:
- First step, which is to be followed, is to rotate the dial for at least five times. This will delete all the combinations which were set before and you can open the masterlock.
- Now you need to set the dial at zero at the top.
- Now pull the handle of the lock until it gets tight.
- You will now need to rotate the dial in anticlockwise direction until it gets stuck. Be patient while doing this. You may need some time to do this.
- This dial should get stuck in between two numbers. Keep a check where exactly it gets stuck. If you don’t remember the combination of numbers then write it on a paper or memories it.
- Do the same process again so that you will get the correct dial combination. See to it that you rotate the dial slowly and precisely. Mark all the combinations as you see. This combination can also be mid number of any two numbers. For instance, the shackle can also stop between 3 and 4. Here the number will be 3.5. This is the sticking point.
- Now you will find in all twelve dial combination numbers or sticking points. Now when you get these sticking points, first thing you should do is to strike off all the numbers which are not whole numbers. Whole number means numbers ending with .5.
- Now you will have 5 whole numbers and 7 numbers strike off with you.
- Now you need the magic number. For getting this magic number, take the third sticking point and divide this number by 4. For instance your third combination number Is 13, so divide 13 by 4. Then write the reminder of this combination. Now when you divide 13 by 4 then, you get 1 as the remainder. This is the magic number.
- Now you need to add 4 to this magic number. Hence it will come 4+1=5. Keep on adding 4 until the dial is complete once. Write each of these numbers. Your first combination number to open the masterlock is one amongst these numbers. Now you need to find the second combination number.
- Now for finding the second magic combination number you need to add or subtract 2. If your magic number is below 1 then you will need to add 2 and if it is higher than 1 then you need to subtract 2. Here we have 1 as our magic number. Hence, we will need to add 2. Therefore 1+2=3. Write down 3 and add 4 to this number.
- Now do the same as you did for acquiring the first combination number. Go on adding 4 to the total until you complete the dial round once. Note down all these numbers as one of these numbers is the second combination for opening the masterlock.
- After you strike some more + or – 2 from every third combination number, you will get the last 80 numbers with you. Now you need to check each and every combination to open the masterlock easily. If you are lucky enough, you don’t need to check more. However, see to it that you check each and every combination properly.
