  • When you have uploaded a video on YouTube, but suddenly lose the audio, then it means that you have issues with copyright. For this, you will have to go to ‘my videos’. Choose the option ‘resolve copyright’ on the video that you have had copyright issues with.
  • Start scrolling down and choose the option ‘I want to learn more about the dispute process’. Scroll a little down and select the option ‘take me to the dispute form’.
  • After that, you will have to choose the second option and copy, paste the following statement on the text box besides it.

“Copyright Disclaimer Under Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976,           allowance is made for “fair use” for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research. Fair use is a use permitted by copyright statute that might otherwise be infringing. Non-profit, educational or personal use tips the balance in favor of fair use.”

  • Start filling the remaining info on the page. After that, you can choose the ‘continue’ option when you have filled all the information. Scroll to the end of the next page and choose the ‘submit dispute’ option.
  • Within five minutes you will get the audio of your YouTube video back.

Tips and Warnings:

  • When you are stating the purpose of copyright issue, make sure that you are clear and you must wait for the response before you proceed further.
