For this, you will have to place the tape under your arms and around the shoulder blades, make sure that the tape measure is always straight around your back. Remember that you must make sure that your tape measure is on the fullest part of your bust, which is the area that sticks out the maximum. Take a pen and paper and write the number of tape measure.
- Now, you will have to measure your waistline by keeping the tape measure around the crease of your waist. For finding the proper area of waist, you must bend over and a crease will form around your waist. However, always remember that your waist area will be right above the belly button or it will be the narrowest part of your waist. Take a pen and paper and mention the number that you see on the tape measure.
- Next, stand on your feet together and now you will have to wrap the tape measure around the fullest part of your hips. Remember that this area will be seven to nine inches below your waistline. Wrap the tape measure and note down the inches on a paper.
- Now, you will have to measure the arm length by keeping the tape measure on the top of your shoulder and stretch it down to the place where your wrist is meeting your hand. Take a paper and pen and mention the number that you see on the tape measure.
- Now, you will have to measure the inseam and the best way to do this by measuring the inseam from your favorite pair of pants. These pants will be the ones that look great on you and are of the perfect length. Take these pants, keep the tape measure on the lowest point of the crotch, and make sure that you keep it straight on the floor; this will be your inseam. Mention the inches on the paper.
- Measure the thighs by keeping the tape measure on the fullest part of your upper thighs and you will have to wrap the tape measure around it. Always make sure that your tape measure is straight and tight around the area of measurement. Write down the measurements that you see on the tape measure.
- Finally, you will have to measure your height, take your tape measure and measure it from the top of your head up to the floor. Another easy way for measuring height is by standing against the wall and making a pencil mark from the top of your head. Step aside, measure from the mark till the floor. Write the measurements and you are done.
