A review is the evaluation of any publication, be it movies, video games, musical compositions and books. There are reviews for other things also like the car, home appliances, computer, event and play. In addition, for a critical evaluation, the author of the review will give a rating as per the merit of the subject. - Read the article carefully. When you are reading keep a few question in mind such as:
- What is the article trying to say?
- Is the message clearly conveyed?
- How readable is the article?
- Is the information accurate?
- How useful is the information?
- Write the introductory paragraph, which will cite the main article and will give a brief description of what the article is about. You do not have to cover it in detail; you should go through only a few important points.
- Next, explain why this article is relevant. Why the information provided in the article is important and how it will be useful to the readers. This can be in your introductory paragraph. Depending on the structure of your review; you can add this information anywhere.
- Move to the critique of the article. This is the main part of the essay. Cover points like, was the article good or bad and why? The questions that you have answered in the previous point can be used for reference.
- Now you can end the review. Write a short conclusion stating why you would or would not recommend this article.
Your review is done. Always remember, if you find the language of your article confusing, instead of interpreting it just write in the review that the language is confusing.
