Green beans, which are also termed as French beans, are an immature product of the beans like, vardlong bean, the branched bean, hyacinth bean, and mainly the universal bean “phaseolus vulgaris”. The shells of the green beans are typically termed as string beans in the US. It is also known as snap beans.

The varieties of the green beans have been classified for the heftiness, taste, or sweetness of their shells.  The French name of the green beans is “haricots verts”, may related to a longer, skinner kind of green bean than the usual, American green bean.  The first ‘string less’ bean was discovered in 1894 by Calvin Keeney, known as the father if the string less bean. Green beans are also marketed dried and fried with vegetables, such as carrots, corn, and radishes. Green beans are also good source of vitamin C.
How to Cook Green Beans
Green beans are generally classified in two main groups, bush beans and pole beans. Bush beans are small plants, which grows to just about two feet in height, without involving supports. They usually achieve prime of life and produce their entire fruit in a comparatively short span of time, then stop to produce.   • If you cooking green beans, then first of all you will have to clean the beans and take away the tops and tails. After that cut it into smaller pieces or you can also leave them complete.
  • Now, blanch the beans by steaming them for 5 to 6 minutes in salty water. After that the beans should be warm; however beans still contain some bites.
  • Now, you will have to boil the beans for 4 to 5 minutes.
  • You can also deep-fry beans by using olive oil and garlic on average temperature for 7 to 8 minutes.
  • Deep-fry the beans on high temperature for almost 5 to 7 minutes. Allow the skin get creased, but don’t allow the beans get too spongy. Try deep fried beans by using black bean broth or a sweeter, hoisin-based broth.
  • You can also try blanched beans on a plate of crudités (uncooked vegetables). They are heavenly with several dips, such as peanut, buttermilk ranch or yogurt.
  • When your green bean is cooked, serve it boiled or blanched beans flipped with aioli, i.e. garlic mayonnaise, or by using butter and thinly chopped thymes such as parsley or dill.
