This formula was so popular amongst actors that ‘Baudin’ started manufacturing it commercially, and invented the first theatrical makeup i.e. “greasepaint”.  Greasepaint was the typical for theatrical makeup until 1915, when world renowned makeup artist ‘Max Factor’ produced ‘Flexible Greasepaint’, which was deeper below the illumination on movie sets. Although, makeup has develop significantly from the invention by ‘Baudin’ greasepaint theatrical makeup, the modern days are not too far detached from the original mingle of fats and pigment.

If you want to create a sheer foundation, then just follow the following instructions.
How to Create Foundation
Things required:

  • 3 tbsp. rice powder
  • 1/2 cup orris root powder
  • 1 ½ cup dried lavender flowers

Instructions:

  • Mix the ingredients together. Dispense all of the ingredients in a container with a strongly conserved lid. Make sure that the container and lid are sterilized before you use them. Shake it properly and store it in a dark, cold place, away from moisture and sunshine.
  • Shake your mixture daily. Shake the container once a day for at least three weeks, or twice a day for two week. Put it back in storage after the daily shake of the mixture. Make sure that the lid is tight.
  • Transfer the solutions of the container into a strainer and sift it into an attractive jar. You can also purchase a small cosmetic or pottery jar, which comes with an identical cover. Try not to crush the mauve flowers, so they will impart the powder of the foundation with the aroma and remedial properties.
  • Apply your foundation powder.  You can use a supple ‘cosmetic brush’ to spread your foundation powder on your skin, for a slack or pure look. If you want to spread the powder properly on your face, then you can use a ‘velvet puff’.
  • Apply on your face and neck to get smooth application, and you can also use a little foundation powder for your ‘decollete’ when you are wearing sundresses or summer outfits.
  • Create a new batch in four months because these are unpolluted ingredients with no preservatives, you may need to keep the ‘foundation powder’ clean by producing a new group periodically.
  • It completely depends on your usage; you might require the creation of a new batch more frequently. If not, then throw away any unused powder after four months and create fresh foundation powder.

Tips and Warnings:

  • Excess foundation or other makeup won’t allow your skin to breath. Apply foundation powder in the morning and once in the noontime to freshen up your makeup. You can use a blotting tissue for soaking oil during daytime.
  • If you have dry skin, then apply moisturizer before using the foundation powder. Try adding equivalent parts of powder and moisturizer for a liquid application.
  • Always check the foundation brushes before buying them. Make sure that the face brush is not infuriating or route running along your skin. Pick the finest brushes to use with the foundation powder.
  • Always keep the cosmetics kit away from heat and moisture.
  • Be cautious; never ever put the foundation powder in your eyes.
  • Herbs are excellent for your complexion and body, but unusual allergic reactions may happen. Apply all herbs with care.
